Come stay with us in the Vienne, just a few minutes away from the Charente, our Jade gîte can sleep 5 people comfortably. The gîte is equipped for families, with lots available for grown ups and children alike.

What to expect in the Jade Gite

Jade is the largest of our two gîtes. It has an open living area complete with a log burner, and a large kitchen. Upstairs, there are two big bedrooms, as well as a shower room that was newly fitted in 2019.

It is filled with rustic charm, with carefully sourced furniture from local Brocantes.

Jade also benefits from its own private garden, designed and maintained by Le Jardin Contemporain.

Gîte In the French Countryside

Our Jade Gite is located in the very south of the Vienne department, on the cusp of the Charente and the Deux-Sèvres departments.

Whilst the N10 is just a few minutes drive away, providing easy access to the main travel routes, the gîte is located in a quiet, rural part of the country.

Within a few minutes walk from the gîte, you can go for a swim in the river Charente, walk past the sunflower fields in the summer. The area is also great for cycling, whether as a family or for longer rides. Just a short drive away, you can explore the region’s markets, discover the local Châteaux, sample the local Pineau and taste the seasonally grown food in the summer Marchés Gourmands.

Family Days Out

There are also plenty of family days out to be had with the Vallée des Singes, la Planète aux Crocodiles, Futuroscope as well as the towns of Poitiers, Angoulême, La Rochelle and Bordeaux all within easy reach by car.

Where to Find the Jade Gîte

Where: in a hamlet in Voulême 86400, right in between Ruffec and Civray (10 minutes drive each way), a few minutes drive from the N10 that connects Poitiers and Angoulême to bigger towns beyond.
